Job summary

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Child Watch Attendant to join our team at the Haselwood Family YMCA in Silverdale, WA. This part-time role supports youth safety and engaging activities for children while parents are using the facility.

Responsibilities include supervising kids aged 6 weeks to 7 years, coordinating drop-off/pick-up, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Prior experience and CPR/First Aid training are valued.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related child care experience preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
• Ability to communicate with parents about child behavior and safety.
• Commitment to Diversity and inclusive environment.
• Willing to complete required training on first day.

Responsibilities

• Care for children aged 6 weeks to 7 years while parents use YMCA facilities.
• Monitor drop-off and pick-up of children.
• Play actively with children and adapt activities to needs.
• Communicate with parents on behavior and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the child watch area.
