Job summary

The Pet Hospital of Tierrasanta in San Diego seeks a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves animals and supporting clients and staff.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, anesthesia monitoring, blood draws, and imaging with digital radiology. We value excellent client communication, accurate medical histories, and strong teamwork in a 3-doctor hospital.

Qualifications

• Current RVT license required.
• 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Excellent client communication and education skills.
• Ability to obtain accurate medical histories.
• Experience with restraint and patient handling.
• Experience with blood draws and catheter placement.
• Familiarity with digital radiology and dental X-rays.
• Team player in a busy practice, Saturdays required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare for procedures.
• Assist veterinarians and other staff during exams and surgeries.
• Draw blood and monitor anesthesia as needed.
• Perform venipuncture, restraint, and positioning for imaging.
• Operate radiography and dental X-ray equipment.
• Assist with lab work and record medical histories.
• Educate clients on care and post-visit instructions.
