Job summary

The Pet Hospital of Tierrasanta in San Diego, CA, seeks a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our busy three-doctor hospital. The role includes rooming patients, surgical assisting, blood draws, IV catheter placement, and digital radiology with anesthesia monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RVT license.
• 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with blood draws and IV catheter placement.
• Proficient in digital radiology and anesthesia monitoring.
• Ability to obtain accurate medical histories.
• Saturdays required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist doctors with procedures.
• Provide surgical assisting and proper animal restraint.
• Draw blood and place IV catheters as needed.
• Operate radiography equipment and maintain image quality.
• Educate clients on care and post-visit instructions.
• Support team in daily hospital operations.
