Job summary

Governor Animal Clinic in San Diego is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team, utilizing anesthesia and surgical expertise to advance patient care. You will provide anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, dental cleanings and radiographs, and support a busy, multi-doctor hospital committed to high-quality medicine.

The role is full-time with 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday and rotating half-day Saturday coverage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in California.
• Proficiency in surgery assistance, dental prophylaxis, and dental extractions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental radiographs.
• Ensure efficient surgical and procedural workflow and support the veterinary team.
• Communicate with clients to review treatment plans and provide discharge instructions with empathy.
• Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
