Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 6 East Cardiac ICU/Progressive Care Unit. You will care for critically ill cardiac patients in a fast-paced progressive care setting, focusing on post-MI recovery, cardiogenic shock, and arrhythmias. The role requires a Michigan RN license and BLS; ACLS is required for specific units.

Shifts available include 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Full-time and part-time roles with every-other weekend and holiday requirements are noted.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved nursing program and eligibility to sit NCLEX for RN licensure.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, and Emergency departments.
• BSN preferred; extreme urgency to obtain BSN within five years of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise individualized plans of care.
• Use teach-back methods to educate patients and families.
• Actively work to prevent hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicate patient status, goals and interventions during rounds and handoffs.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Align actions with the organization’s mission, values and standards.
