Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time role in Middletown, CT. The schedule runs 5:00am–1:00pm, totaling 28 hours weekly. The RN will administer medications, conduct assessments, document care, and support admissions and vitals collection.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a focus on patient-centered addiction recovery care. Connecticut licensure is required with one year of nursing experience; BSN preferred and CPR/AED recommended.

Qualifications

• Current active license in the State of Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of nursing experience.
• BSN license preferred.
• Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) preferred or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or actively pursuing credentialing) is preferred.
• Adult CPR/AED certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing and administering medication as prescribed and in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct intake/admissions and assist with annual physicals; obtain vitals and collect specimens as needed.
• Perform client assessments, collect data, and monitor conditions prior to dosing.
• Provide health counseling in prenatal care, child nutrition, and general hygiene.
