Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time role in Torrington, CT. The position entails administering medications, patient assessments, admissions, documentation, and other clinical tasks to support patient care in our rehabilitation program.

The ideal candidate holds an active CT RN license with at least one year of nursing experience. BSN preferred and CPR/AED certification preferred or in progress. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Current active license in the State of Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of nursing experience.
• BSN license preferred. CPR/AED certification preferred or actively pursuing credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing medication and administering per prescriber; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Take in admissions and conduct intake/physical assessments.
• Assess patients’ condition, record vitals, obtain samples or phlebotomy as needed.
• Provide counseling on health-related topics, including prenatal care, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Report changes in condition to provider or supervisor and document accordingly.
• Maintain complete record keeping and documentation of services and patient responses.
