Root Center for Advanced Recovery is hiring a Registered Nurse for a part-time 28-hour weekly schedule at the Washington Street Clinic in Middletown, CT. The role supports daily nursing functions, medication dispensing, patient assessments, and admissions processes within our rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Current active license in Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of nursing experience.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) preferred or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing credentialing pursued.
• Adult CPR/AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing and administering medication as prescribed and in compliance with regulations.
• Intake/admissions, and assisting with annual physicals and vitals as directed.
• Assessments and specimen collection as needed, observing patient condition prior to dosing.
• Counseling on prenatal care, child health, nutrition and hygiene.
• Record keeping and documentation of services and patient responses.
