Job summary

Root Center for Advanced Recovery in New London, CT is seeking a registered nurse to support medication dispensing, patient assessments, admissions, and thorough record keeping as part of our rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in Connecticut with at least one year of nursing experience.
• BSN license preferred; CARN or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing credentialing preferred; CPR/AED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing medication and administering per prescriber instruction.
• Intake/admissions and recording patient vitals and records.
• Assessments and specimen collection including phlebotomy where required.
• Counseling on health topics including prenatal care and nutrition.
• Report changes in condition to provider or supervisor.
• Maintain clear and complete documentation of services and patient responses.
