Job summary

BrightStar Care Plano/North Dallas is seeking an experienced RN/LVN to provide skilled home health nursing and infusion services. You will work with patients in their homes, following each Plan of Care and collaborating with our clinical team.

This role may include skilled nursing visits and extended shifts; travel across the service area is required. Weekly pay, paid orientation, and flexible scheduling are among the offered benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN or LVN license.
• Minimum 2 years of wound care experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Wound VAC experience.
• Infusion experience preferred.
• Peripheral lab draw experience preferred.
• PICC dressing change/care experience preferred.
• Port experience is a plus.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass required state and federal background checks.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Recent TB test or chest X-ray, as required.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability and willingness to work both visits and shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Role

As an RN/LVN with BrightStar Care of Plano/North Dallas, you will provide high-quality skilled nursing services to patients in the comfort of their homes. You'll work closely with patients, families, and our clinical team to deliver individualized care based on each patient's Plan of Care.

This role may include both skilled nursing visits and extended shifts, depending on patient needs and your availability.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled home health nursing services in accordance with each patient's individualized Plan of Care
• Deliver care within the scope of the Texas Nurse Practice Act
• Provide nursing services requiring substantial and specialized clinical skill
• Perform infusion-related care, wound care, lab draws, PICC care, and other skilled nursing services as assigned
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate clinical personnel
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding care needs and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with applicable regulations
• Promote patient safety, comfort, independence, and quality of life
• Maintain high standards of clinical quality and service
• Supervise and support other staff when required
• Provide care across our service area as assigned

What You'll Need
