Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking an RN Lactation Consultant for a part-time, variable shift role.

The RN Lactation Consultant will provide care to breastfeeding mothers and babies, work with the nursing team to plan and evaluate care, and promote longer-term breastfeeding goals. The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple departments and serving as a lactation expert for the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
• One (1) year Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Render direct and indirect patient care for breastfeeding mother–baby dyads in line with standards of care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for the breastfeeding dyad.
• Promote breastfeeding beyond the first weeks and support goals of the breastfeeding dyad.
• Serve as a lactation resource for staff, physicians, other departments, and facilities.
