Job summary

AHRC NYC seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support IRA Group Home residences in Queens or the Bronx. The RN will evaluate and monitor health and safety needs of individuals with developmental disabilities to promote wellness, ensuring services comply with federal/state regulations and agency policy.

The position offers pay rate of $48-$50 per hour with a flexible schedule totaling 8-20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• AMAP certification required with recertification as needed.
• Experience coordinating medical care for individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for assigned individuals and arrange follow-up care as needed.
• Assess health status through direct observation and documentation.
• Monitor for signs of distress or illness and report to clinicians.
• Supervise medication administration according to regulations and policy.
• Communicate with physicians, families and the interdisciplinary team about health issues.
