The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care for Sisters residing in our Whitestone retirement residence. This part-time role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care in a mission-driven environment.

The candidate will perform skilled nursing tasks, administer medications, monitor health status, and coordinate care with the Healthcare Coordinator and CNAs, ensuring privacy and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• Current NY RN license.
• Experience with older adults or gerontology.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with MS Word and email.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication, leadership, delegation, and organizational skills.
• Clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care within the scope of professional practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per standards.
• Coordinate care and hospital transfers when needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and privacy.
• Collaborate with CNAs and contracted staff.
