RWJBarnabas Health in Somerset, NJ seeks a part-time RN on the Same Day Surgery unit. The role is 32 hours per week, day shift, with hourly pay as listed. You will join a collaborative team focused on safe, high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, current BLS/ACLS, and have ASN or diploma. BSN is preferred, with 1–2 years acute care experience. EMR proficiency (EPIC) is expected to support efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years Acute Care experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding and preparation for next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and promote effective team communication.
• Coordinate with the team to support safe, quality patient experiences.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities.
