Job summary

Atlanta Technical College is seeking a Revenue Accounting Technician (Part-Time) to support the Division of Administrative Services. The role collaborates with the Revenue Accountant and Fiscal Analyst to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with state policies, working up to 29 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting (or related field), with relevant experience. A Master’s degree and more accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or Associate degree with two years of related accounting work experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting and three+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Part-time role: up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

Responsibilities

• General ledger reconciliation and journal upload into WorkDay (GA@Work) system.
• Categorize into accounts and resolve recording errors; assign accounting codes.
• Balance and reconcile accounting records, such as journals, ledgers, batch reports, bank statements, and related documents.
• Generate and assist with month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Review and process revenue documents (invoices, receipts, grants, and bonds) for completeness, accuracy and proper authorization.
