Job summary

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; advanced Excel and accounting software experience expected.
Experience with financial reporting and internal controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze, reconcile, balance, and maintain accounting records.
Evaluate expenditures for compliance within contracts and general accounts.
Interpret regulations to ensure compliance across offices.
Conduct financial analysis of projects and prepare special reports.
Prepare and post journal entries; perform month, quarter, and year-end closings.
Develop and maintain internal fiscal systems and procedures.
Review Institute procedures for compliance with policies and regulations.
Develop procedures to keep management updated on financial and contractual status.
Evaluate effectiveness of accounting procedures and internal controls; recommend improvements.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
