Qualifications

  • Experience with financial reporting and internal controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, reconcile, balance, and maintain accounting records.
  • Evaluate expenditures for compliance within contracts and general accounts.
  • Interpret regulations to ensure compliance across offices.
  • Conduct financial analysis of projects and prepare special reports.
  • Prepare and post journal entries; perform month, quarter, and year-end closings.
  • Develop and maintain internal fiscal systems and procedures.
  • Review Institute procedures for compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Develop procedures to keep management updated on financial and contractual status.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of accounting procedures and internal controls; recommend improvements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
