Job summary

Lone Star College-University Park is seeking a Part-time Specialist IV to assist students identified as at-risk through the Early Alert Program and to support the Success Connections Program through contact and communication with prospective and enrolled students.

The role includes data entry, tracking, and supporting faculty with training, while staying current on available resources. Salary is hourly at $16.66 in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use software products.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and act as general point-of-contact for the Retention department.
• Enter, track and maintain a variety of data, documents, spreadsheets and databases.
• Work one-on-one with “at-risk” students identified through the Early Alert Program to assess needs and refer them to available resources/services; continuously reach out and monitor student needs throughout the semester.
• Market and provide Success Connections and Early Alert program training to faculty and staff.
• Actively research and maintain up-to-day knowledge of all available resources and services.
• Assist with research, analysis and evaluation of program, creation of reports and presentation of findings and suggestions for program improvements.
• Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned
