Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and support team development in Fresno, CA.

The role includes merchandise organization, opening/closing procedures, payroll tasks, and maintaining attractive, clean store environments. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy setting with a focus on safety and asset protection.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleaning and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash removal to keep areas neat.
