Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Linden, NJ is seeking a part-time Retail Service Team Member to help customers, stock merchandise, and maintain a well-merchandised store. You will handle checkout, assist with ad sets and store recovery, and support the store's brand promises.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, flexibility to work nights and weekends, and cross-training in Custom Framing. You will participate in SISO and safety programs while engaging customers with rewards programs.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.
• Ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) updates.
• Support omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in merchandise recovery, shelving, and store recovery to stay in-stock.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
