Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local stores in State College, PA, and scan product barcodes for retail data collection. The role offers flexibility with hours, weekly scanning tasks, and travel compensation.

As a Retail Scan Associate, you will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, report quantities for selected products, and support client reporting throughout the year, including holidays. Prioritizes reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes across store locations.
• Provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products as required by clients.
• Complete in-store data collection for 52 weeks a year, including holidays.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines and deliver accurate data to clients.
