Job summary

ScanScape is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit a designated selection of stores weekly, scanning barcodes on displays and in aisles. The role offers flexible hours and a consistent weekly schedule with potential for additional project work.

In this position you will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, collect data, and help improve product and retailer performance. A reliable Wi-Fi connection and a customer-focused, detail-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan barcodes on displays and in aisle locations.
• Data collected is analyzed to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes in various locations throughout each store.
• While scanning bar codes each week, provide the quantity of about 45% of the products scanned.
• Complete Display Scanning on the entire store, which occurs weekly and can take several hours to finish.
• Participate in Custom Projects that may add 1–2 hours of work per store in certain weeks.
