Job summary

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit local stores weekly, scanning product barcodes and collecting data to improve sales performance. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using a mobile app for scanning.

You’ll work 4–9 hours weekly per store, with additional hours for special projects. Paid travel and 401(k) with employer matching are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and access products.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms and legs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be deadline-driven and a self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi and be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations across stores.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products weekly.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines and complete display scanning for entire stores.
• Participate in special projects with extra hours during peak weeks.
• Travel is paid at the hourly rate (minus first & last 15 minutes).
