Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY, is seeking a part-time Community Pharmacy Technician (16 hours per week, weekdays) to join our Retail Pharmacy team at Baptist Health Hamburg. Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, computer order entry, labeling, and patient-facing transactions with emphasis on safe, accurate service.

The role requires KY pharmacist registration within 30 days if new, prior retail experience preferred, and certification (PTCB) preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire for new registrants.
• Previous retail pharmacy work experience is preferred.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager in filling and dispensing community prescriptions with accurate computer order entry and labeling.
• Provide prompt, friendly service at the point of sale and assist in prescription fulfillment.
• Deliver medications to discharged patients per Pharmacist requests and perform prescriber outreach for refills under supervision.
• Participate in inventory management, ordering, restocking, and physical inventory preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized Pharmacy, assist with staff training as assigned, and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform simple nonsterile compounding per USP 795 guidelines under pharmacist supervision.
• Attend meetings and committees as assigned and support daily pharmacy operations.
