Job summary

The Michael's Companies is seeking a part-time Retail Merchandise Manager in Charlottesville, VA. The role focuses on merchandising execution, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to maintain a customer-ready store environment.

You will support the Store Manager, lead SOP adherence, manage truck processing and stock movement, and ensure accurate pricing and promotions. This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading SOP adherence and company programs.
• Proven ability to manage merchandising execution and store operations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 25-50 pounds) and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and standards.
• Ensure execution of policies and boardroom of store results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain service standards.
• Lead truck unloading, sorting and replenishment to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized backroom and sales floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, pricing changes and promotions.
• Oversee Ship-from-Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
