Job summary

ShopRite of Ramsey is seeking a Store Detective (Inserra NJ) to deliver a safe, high-service shopping environment. You will protect company assets by detecting theft through observation and CCTV, while ensuring customers have a positive experience.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork. Part-time schedule with varying shifts, safety policies, and opportunities for training are included.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Able to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in dust, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to travel to stores as needed.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Utilize loss prevention tools to identify and minimize shrink.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner per policy and law.
• Represent the company in criminal actions arising from apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations and report vulnerabilities to management.
• Maintain security of entrances and communicate with store staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of store layouts and safety procedures.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and assist customers as needed.
