Job summary

Lids Sports Group in Denver, Colorado is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our busy retail location. You will lead by example, supervise staff, and help deliver exceptional customer service while driving sales.

You will schedule staff, train team members, manage daily operations, protect store assets, and maintain merchandising standards. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work unsupervised during scheduled shifts. Reports to Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through Training Programs and regular follow-up when Store Manager is not present.
• Administer progressive discipline with verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment that supports company goals.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment and adhere to Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for peaks when the Store Manager is absent.
• Recruit and train store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguarding of inventory and cash.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to 'make it right' for customers.
• Keep merchandising guidelines and store cleanliness up to date.
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with Dress Code.
