Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local stores weekly, scanning product barcodes on displays and in aisles. The role runs year-round across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise locations.

Compensation is $15–$16 per hour with flexible hours to suit personal schedules and client needs. Travel is paid at the hourly rate, with sick time, 401(k) eligibility with matching, and a referral program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure standing for long periods while accessing products.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet high, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit local retailers weekly to scan barcodes in stores.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes in various locations.
• Report to your store within described deadlines.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store weekly.
• Work on Custom Projects which may add 30 minutes to 2 hours per week per store.
