Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit assigned local retailers weekly to scan barcodes on displays and in-aisle locations. The role averages 6–14 hours per week across all stores, with additional hours for special projects year-round.

As a Retail Scan Associate you will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, provide quantities for about 45% of products, and complete weekly scanning tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance.
• Ability to endure standing for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and reach 6 feet in the air.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms and legs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be deadline-driven and have reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned local retailers every week for data collection across store types (grocery, convenience, drug, etc.).
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes in numerous in-store locations.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of products scanned each week.
• Complete display scanning across the store weekly; may require several hours.
• Assist with custom projects adding 30 minutes to 2 hours in peak weeks; meet weekly deadlines.
