Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience at our East Hartford location. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help with stocking and merchandise recovery.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail/customer service experience. You will maintain a clean, safe store and deliver friendly, professional service to customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
