Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Connecticut LLC in Hartford is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, keep the store stocked, unload merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), relevant customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
