Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Connecticut LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our store team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions, maintain store cleanliness, and support merchandising while upholding safety and professional interactions.

This position is part-time with flexible hours. The successful candidate will have prior retail or service experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
