Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team, delivering a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, recommending products, managing the cash register, stocking shelves, unloading trucks, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and compliance with store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or related fields is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, floors, and general areas.
