Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers with questions and recommendations while efficiently handling sales transactions at the register, delivering a friendly and helpful shopping experience.

You will keep the store well stocked and clean, assist with unloading and stocking merchandise, ensure a safe, respectful environment, and provide reliable service with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs., and perform frequent walking and standing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
