Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the cash register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

This role emphasizes friendly interactions, safety, and efficient operations, with duties including unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a neat, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register and maintain cash security.
• Keep the store well-stocked and presentable; assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
