Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is hiring Part-Time Retail Store Associates to provide outstanding customer service, process donations, and handle sales in a busy retail environment. Starting wage is $15.00/hour with an additional $1.00/hour on Saturdays and Sundays.

Earn monthly bonus eligibility based on store goals and annual merit increases based on performance. Prior fast-paced experience is a plus, and teamwork is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or in school) with ability to work flexible hours.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and tolerate varied temperatures.
• Must pass criminal background check and dependent adult/child abuse checks.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and engage with customers in a courteous manner.
• Receive donations from the public.
• Sort donations and merchandise, ensuring quality meets standards.
• Rotate items on the sales floor and keep merchandise organized.
• Operate cash register and practice safe cash handling; balance as scheduled.
• Perform general cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting).
• Use dolly, carts, pallet jack, and possibly forklift.
