Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is recruiting a Part-Time Retail Store Associate at our store location in Des Moines. You will greet customers, assist with donations, and manage merchandise on the sales floor while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible availability including weekends, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. POS experience is a plus and opportunities for growth exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress.
• Willingness to work days, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to tolerate temperature variations.
• Be at least 16 years old.
• Effective communication and basic math skills.
• Must be able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with courtesy.
• Receive and process donations from the public.
• Sort and merchandise donated goods.
• Maintain organized sales floor to aid customers.
• Operate cash register and balance cash as scheduled.
• Perform cleaning tasks and safety duties.
• Use equipment like dollies and pallet jacks as needed.
• Meet daily production goals and assist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
