Job summary

Dollar Tree in Des Plaines, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team. This role involves opening and closing procedures, loss prevention, and coordination with the Store Manager to maintain a well-stocked, clean, and compliant store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates while delivering strong customer service.
• Open and close the store, follow safety guidelines and policies.
• Organize merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and assist with payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
