Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our California location. The role supports store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, opening/closing tasks, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. Part-time, on-site position with emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties described.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep the store clean, stocked, and presentable; maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure professional customer interactions.
