Job summary

Dollar Tree in Chesterfield, SC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development at our location. You will supervise shifts, train associates and ensure tasks are completed to our standards.

You will organize merchandise between the delivery truck, stockroom and sales floor, manage open/close procedures, and help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming store environments for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store efficacy.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and train store associates.
