Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Chesterfield, SC to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to lead by example while ensuring safety and policy compliance. This is a storefront, on-site position at a high-volume location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise and transfer from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Maintain tidy, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; enforce policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean (bathrooms, floors, trash) and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
