Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Lexington, VA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help develop the team. You will participate in opening/closing procedures, manage merchandise flow, and uphold store standards while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

The role extends to coordinating with the Store Manager, monitoring promotions, handling payroll and scheduling tasks, and ensuring safety and compliance with company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, and repetitive motions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with excellent customer service.
• Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and assist with payroll and scheduling.
• Assist in ordering, damaged merchandise, records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and secure assets.
