Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a part-time server to provide food and beverage service in a courteous, efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at the property.

The role requires knowledge of liquor regulations, a valid Food Handler Card and a TABC license, plus strong service standards and POS operation. Flexibility with shifts and teamwork across restaurant staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
• Hold a valid TABC license
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable safe application of products and processes.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment e.g., coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials/promotions.
• Check station before/during/after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Record the details of the order and repeat to ensure accuracy.
• Input the order into the POS to inform the kitchen.
• Deliver orders with condiments to guests and obtain accuracy.
• Abide by liquor regulations for minors and intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Suggest desserts or specialty coffees on request.
• Assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables.
• Perform side work and general cleaning per health standards.
• Present checks promptly and adhere to policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other restaurant personnel when needed.
