Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a part-time server for on-site restaurant service in Scottsdale. You will greet guests, take and input orders, and deliver items with accuracy while adhering to all liquor regulations and health standards.

You’ll also upsell desserts, assist with bus staff, and keep the dining area clean and presentable. The role emphasizes friendly, courteous guest interactions, adherence to policies, and teamwork across the dining room.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified.
• Hold a valid TABC license.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials/promotions.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guests to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale system to inform the kitchen of the order details.
• Deliver orders to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Abide by liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees.
• Assist bus staff in clearing and resettling tables.
• Perform side work and general cleaning tasks.
• Present the check to guest promptly.
• Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
• Maintain neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
• Assist other restaurant personnel when needed.
