The Westin Nashville is seeking a Restaurant Server to provide exceptional service to guests in our dining room. You will take orders accurately, serve food and beverages efficiently, and address guest needs promptly and courteously.

A friendly demeanor and attention to detail contribute to our restaurant's success and reputation. The role requires using the POS system, maintaining clean stations, and collaborating with kitchen and bar staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
• Must work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally on arrival.
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
• Relay orders to kitchen and bar staff promptly.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner per service standards.
• Monitor tables, anticipate guest needs, and upsell when appropriate.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints and escalate to management when needed.
• Process payments using the POS system, handling cash and cards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and dining spaces.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and assist with opening/closing tasks.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bartenders, and bussers for smooth service.
