Job summary

Hyatt Regency DFW is seeking a Restaurant Server for Jacob's Spring Grille. You will greet guests, take orders, and help deliver exceptional dining experiences in a friendly, efficient manner.

Responsibilities include table setup, order transmission to kitchen, menu guidance, sanitation adherence, and proactive guest service. Prior serving experience is preferred; must speak English fluently and be able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and guest interaction abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.
• Must have the stamina to lift moderate weight and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare table settings, decorations, condiments, and utensils for dining.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies are followed.
• Assist guests with menu selections and wine recommendations.
• Stay updated on menu items and kitchen availability.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen and note dietary needs.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Address customer service issues promptly and escalate when needed.

Hyatt Regency DFW is located across from Terminal C of the DFW Airport. The Hyatt Regency DFW features 811 guestrooms and 92,000 square feet of function space and is a part of the Hyatt Hotels Corporate Managed properties.

Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
