Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care under physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff and performs duties as assigned.

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week (6:30p-7:00a), with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available for RRTs. Eligible candidates should meet licensure requirements and hold an NBRC RRT credential, with ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC. ER-required PALS when applicable.
• ACL S/PALS certification may be required in ER roles.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy and serves as a resource for medical staff.
• Performs duties as assigned, including equipment management and patient monitoring.
