Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care and participate in cardiopulmonary therapies under physician direction. This part-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for RRTs and a 24-hour weekly schedule (6:30p–7:00a).

The position involves collaborating with physicians and the respiratory care team to assess patient needs and adjust therapies as needed. Strong knowledge of respiratory care devices and standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials; PALS for ER if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care under physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
