Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. The role may consider Certified Respiratory Therapists; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for RRTs.

The position is part time, 24 hours per week, with shifts from 6:30p-7:00a. ACLS/PALS credentials are preferred and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meet state licensure requirements and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC; PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care under physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
