VOA GNY is seeking a Part Time Residential Counselor in Fanwood, NJ to provide wellness and recovery-oriented case management and direct support to residents of Theodora House.

The role requires supervision, crisis intervention, transportation assistance, and collaboration with the treatment team. A background in mental health services and a valid driver’s license are preferred to help residents achieve daily living goals.

Formación

• Candidates must have formal education in mental health or related field.
• Nurses may apply with appropriate licensure.
• Experience or education equivalent to four years if no four-year degree is met.

Responsabilidades

• Provide on-site supervision and support to residents.
• Communicate observations to program manager and treatment team.
• Organize and support recreational and social activities.
• Transport and assist residents with appointments.
• Deliver residential counseling and crisis intervention.
• Assist in developing the individual service plan.
• Coordinate vocational and educational services.
• Document observations and services in progress notes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with meals and daily living.
