Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Part-time Residential Support Staff for the 3rd shift (24 hours/week) to care for individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, including community activities.

The role requires advocating for residents, observing health changes, administering basic first aid, ensuring dignity, transporting clients, documenting progress, and assisting with meal prep and light maintenance. A valid MI driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to document statistics and prepare correspondence.
• Ability to read, understand and carry out instruction, policies and the like.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for those served on personal, family, and community levels.
• Observes and documents changes in the physical and mental condition of those served.
• Administers first aid and simple nursing procedures as needed.
• Ensures the privacy and dignity of those served and reports any suspected abuse or neglect.
• Transports individuals to and from community locations using an agency vehicle or personal vehicle as needed.
• Documents progress of programs to individuals as prescribed.
• Assists in meal preparation, cleaning, small home repairs and light residential maintenance duties.
• Provides hospitality to all visitors at the residence.
• Explores opportunities for community participation possibilities for those served.
